Whether in an urban setting, or out in the wild, you should always select rainwear that is comfortable to wear. After all you may end up wearing it all day so comfort is vital. The fabric of the raincoat should of course be waterproof, but the finish is very important too. Is there a matte finish or a shiny one? Does the raincoat feel like plastic to touch or are the materials more natural feeling? A plastic raincoat will feel less durable that one made of a mix of materials, and will also be less comfortable to wear.
