However, the best solution to this would be buying the best quality raincoat. You can consider buying raincoat online for that much needed convenience. So, if you are looking to experience the real Italian lifestyle in some of the most beautiful places in the world, with much less tourists and less rain problems, then enjoy the eight magnificent destinations in Italy with your perfect raincoat.

Italy

1. Aeolian Islands

The Aeolian Islands are simply remarkable. It’s hard to put into words just how beautiful these islands located in the north east of the Sicilian region of Italy. Each island offers a slightly different flavor for each of its guests. You can choose one or go to all of them and find out which one suits you best.

The largest island by the name of Lipari has some of the most crystal clear blue water you will ever witness in your life. Perfect for a day of fun on the beach. Temperatures in springtime aren’t quite hot, but they may be warm enough for you to take a dip in the beautiful Mediterranean sea. Another large island, called Stromboli, is home to one of the world's most magnificent active volcanoes in the world. It’s definitely worth the excursion up the mountain to see the natural fireworks that explode into the sky.

2. Bolzano

Bolzano is a tiny village up in the northwestern region of Italy. There is a strong German presence in this town, and there is even a university that is trilingual and offers courses in not just Italian and English, but also German due to the history of this town. Another interesting tidbit of information: Bolzano is home of the “Ineman” that is approximately 5,000 years old and is the oldest discovered mummy in Europe. Be sure to check it out (it’s incredibly well preserved) while you’re in Bolzano.

Bolzano’s no one trick pony, either. There’s tons to see and do here. From magical festivals, to breathtaking trails and hiking, and the surrounding views of the Dolomite Mountains, there’s a little piece of beauty for everybody to find when they come to Bolzano.

3.  Cinque Terre

You’ve probably heard of one of Italy’s most famous (and expensive) tourist towns: Portofino. But, have you heard of neighboring Cinque terre? This gem of an oceanfront town is hard to beat when it comes to beauty and things to do. It’s similar in beauty to Portofino, while also offering many things to do on the beach. The Cinque Terre region is actually a combination of five towns that are linked together, which are only accessible by train or by foot. Very exclusive; once you get there you may never want to leave!

4. Perugia

If there;s one thing this well-preserved town sitting on top of steep mountains is known for it’s chocolate. Chocolate has been an integral part of the life in Perugia and makes the top quality chocolates in not only Italy, but also the rest of the world. Perugia is a place that is sure to steal your breath as you walk up and down it's extremely well preserved streets and alleyways. Perugia was once an important city back in medieval days, and is one of the most preserved towns to this day.

5. Puglia

Puglia is not so common for tourists outside of Italy, but for Northern Italians, Puglia is one of the go-to places in the summer time. The beauty in Puglia is unmeasurable, with its white washed towns that are sprinkled along the coasts of the Mediterranean. The architecture is one of a  kind and there are many unique buildings shaped in the form of cones that are a must see when visiting Puglia. Vineyards, olive groves and brilliant beaches; what more can you want?

6. Verona

You may know Verona from Shakespeare's classic “Romeo and Juliet”. It was in this beautiful Italian town that William Shakespeare set the scene of the Montague boy kissing the Capulet girl from two enemy families that were blinded by love. The balcony is right there for visitors to see, in amazing condition. Additionally, another thing that drives people to come to this town is the well preserved amphitheater which dates over 2,000 years old and is still in use of this day.

7. The Lake District

While you have probably heard of Lake Como because of George Clooney who happens to own a house there on the lake, there are tons of other hidden gems all around the lake district that borders Switzerland to the North. In addition to Como, there is also Lugano, Garda and maggiore. All of them are completely decked out in antique houses that are as bright pastel colored as the surrounding gardens around them.  The lakes are matched in beauty by the surrounding green mountains. Definitely a place to see in Italy!
